Each state in the country has its own way of dealing with homeschooling. The topic is definitely controversial but each parent should be allowed to make their own decision, the one that is the best choice for their unique situation and the welfare of their child or children.
Some parents of children with special needs may feel that their child is not benefiting or thriving in the school environment. They will often make the move to work with their child at home and perhaps add more of the special therapies that will enhance the child’s success. Often, the local districts can give the option of offering their services for such programs to those who home school.
There is also a large and growing group of parents who are big fans of the life style of the Duggar family. This is one of the families that is constantly growing each year. They have home schooled all of their children and have included many valuable lessons along the way. They are a frugal family and make their own soap from scratch and have a home remedy for just about everything. All of the children have mastered many skills by learning at home. They all play musical instruments and helped in the construction of their new home.
This family is a good example of a family who has a good system in place to be sure each child learns their lessons for the day. Unfortunately, there is a very small percentage of parents who have gotten in over their head with homeschooling. These families should not let pride stand in the way of their child’s education and allow the children to go to a school environment if necessary.
